The Four Ships represent four distinctives which characterize our culture as a church.
Worship is recognizing God for who He is and responding to Him. God has revealed who He is in His written Word, the Bible, and in His living Word, Jesus. Our understanding of God is anchored to the truth of God’s Word. Because Jesus is Lord of all and has given Himself to us, we respond to Him in joy, love, faith and obedience.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. – Romans 12:1

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ… Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. – Ephesians 4:11-13; 5:1
God did not create us in Christ to be independent of one another, but to be inter-dependent on one another. Each member of our fellowship is a gift of God that we need if we are going to become what God desires us to be.
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. – Hebrews 10:24-25
All that we are and have comes from God and belongs to Him. We are not the “owners”. Under Christ, we are the “stewards” of creation, capabilities, clocks and calendars, cash and checkbooks, and our children.
This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful. – 1 Corinthians 4:1-2
